Huawei’s first “Made in India” smartphone is named as Honor Holly 3

Huawei has launched their first ‘Made in India’ smartphone in the country at the Honor 8 launch event in Delhi yesterday, as expected. We had exclusively reported that the company’s first phone under the ‘Make in India’ initiative will be the Honor 5A. It is known as Honor Holly 3 but it is the same phone as Honor 5A, that was launched in China sometime back. Since, Honor has already launched its Honor 5X and Honor 5C models in India, to avoid confusion among consumers, they have renamed the Honor 5A to Honor Holly 3 in India. Lets check out its specifications, features and pricing below.

For starters, the Holly 3 comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display that has an anti-glare coating (sunscreen lotion for smartphones). It runs on EUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. In the camera department, there is a 13 megapixel rear shooter along with a 8 megapixel selfie camera on the front. There is Dual SIM support along with 4G LTE but we do not know if it also supports VoLTE or not. The back side of the smartphone has a classic 3D textured back cover as well. Under the hood, we find a 3100mAh battery that promises up to 1.74 days of battery life with moderate usage. In terms of connectivity options, it packs in WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS along with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+ and 2G.
