OPPO F5 with 6-inch Full-Screen display announced, India launch on November 2

OPPO F5, the company’s first bezel-less smartphone with a 6-inch Full HD+ full screen display has been launched in Philippines. It will be officially announced in India on November 2. Take a closer look at the specifications and features of the mobile below.

The OPPO F5 features a 6-inch 2.5D curved glass Full-Screen IPS display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+) and pixel density of 402 PPI. It is a bezel-less display with a screen-to-body ratio of 78.1% and the screen has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The F5 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz along with Mali G71 MP2 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage or 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can also be extended up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.

The OPPO F5 runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat OS out of the box and is upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo OS in the future. It is a Dual SIM phone (dedicated microSD card slot) with 4G VoLTE support. Other connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n (Dual Band) and GPS + GLONASS. There is a fingerprint scanner located on the back and it also supports Face Unlock for unlocking the phone quickly. It has a unibody metal design, that is 7.5mm thick and weighs 152 grams.

In the camera department, there is a 16 megapixel primary camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture at the back and a 20 megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front. Both of them can shoot Full HD videos. The selfie camera comes with A.I. beauty recognition technology that scan 200 facial recognition spots to beautify a selfie shot perfectly and also offers bokeh effect. Under the hood, there is a 3200mAh battery (non-removable) but there is no support for fast charging.

The OPPO F5 is priced at 15990 Philippine Peso ($308 / Rs. 19,982 approx.) for the 4GB RAM variant. It will be available for pre-order till November 3 and go on sale from November 4 in Philippines in Black, Gold and Red (6GB RAM variant) colors. It will be unveiled in India on November 2.
