Panasonic India launches Eluga Ray X with Arbo AI assistant for Rs. 8999

Panasonic has launched a new smartphone in its ‘Eluga series’ called Eluga Ray X. It comes with a smart AI assistant named Arbo, which has been developed in-house by Panasonic. According to the company, Arbo will be able to understand the usage of the phone and thus will make it more intelligent based on the time and location.

The Panasonic Eluga Ray X runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is being powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. For graphics prowess and multitasking, we get Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage but the user can expand it further up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The Ray X features a 5.5-inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display, which has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

In the connectivity department, it comes with 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG and GPS. It supports Dual SIM and we also get a fingerprint sensor, which is located on top of the home button. The phone is made up of metal but it is on the heavier side weighing 193 grams and is quite thick at 10.5mm. The Panasonic Eluga Ray X boasts of a 13 megapixel primary camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture at the back. The rear camera can shoot Full HD videos as well. There is a 5 megapixel selfie camera with LED flash for clicking bright selfies in any lighting conditions.

The Eluga Ray X has a 4000mAh battery under its hood, which should keep the phone running for about two days with moderate usage but it does not support fast charging and thus it will need some time for being charged from 0 to 100.

The Panasonic Eluga Ray X is priced at Rs. 8,999 in India and is exclusively sold on Flipkart in comes in Rose Gold, Space Grey and Gold colors. The smartphone has already been listed in our best smartphones under 10000 segment.
