YU has finally launched a new budget smartphone in the Indian market at an event in Delhi today. It is named as the YUREKA BLACK and has been priced at Rs. 8,999. The phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart from June 6 (midnight) in Chrome Black with glossy finish and Matte Black with smooth finish variants. Lets find out the specifications and features of the mobile below.
The YU YUREKA BLACK boasts of a 5.0-inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD), pixel density of 441 PPI and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with Adreno 505 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The user can expand the storage externally up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The YUREKA BLACK is a Dual SIM (nano) phone but we get a hybrid SIM slot. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box but it will soon be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat OS, according to YU.
In the camera department, there is a 13 megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, dual LED flash, PDAF and f/2.2 aperture at the back. It can shoot Full HD videos. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel selfie shooter with flash. The YUREKA BLACK features a unibody metal design, which is 8.7mm thick and weighs 150 grams. There is a fingerprint sensor embedded into its home button, which can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.
The YUREKA BLACK features 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, 3G HSPA+, USB OTG and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Under the hood of this smartphone, we get a 3000mAh battery (non-removable) but it does not support fast charging.
